About the role:
We are seeking a person to lead the Project Management Office, ensuring governance, standardization, and excellence in project delivery. This role is pivotal in translating corporate strategy into actionable project frameworks, supervising the execution of strategic initiatives, and guaranteeing alignment with organizational objectives.
Beyond operational oversight, the Head of PMO will act as a change agent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in project management practices
of aeronautical equipment, within CENTUM own projects and with aeronautical OEMs. These projects, which involve development of Centum products or research and development projects, primarily within the aeronautical, defense and security industries, involve developing of advanced mission systems for both manned and unmanned platforms.
This position is crucial for the company as we embark on key strategic projects. You will bring your experience to a new environment with a strong R&D perspective.
Key responsibilities:
Establish and maintain PMO governance, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.
Define and implement project management standards, tools, and processes.
Oversee strategic projects, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and timely delivery within budget and scope.
When necessary, manage key projects according to PMO processes.
Lead risk management strategies and ensure proactive mitigation measures.
Provide executive-level reporting on portfolio performance and strategic outcomes to the steering committee.
Manage and develop the PMO team, including Project Managers and Specialists, ensuring competency growth and engagement.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project delivery and organizational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality requirements throughout all project phases.
Requirements:
University degree: Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related fields.
Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, including program management and people leadership.
Proven track record in managing complex, high-impact projects in multinational environments.
PMP or similar certification.
Aviation Experience: Understanding of aircraft equipment design, production processes, and aeronautical systems.
Aviation Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with aviation regulations, safety standards, and industry’s best practices.
Advanced English proficiency is essential as it is the daily language for managing international projects (Spanish is also required).
Willingness to travel globally according to project needs.

Comprehensive knowledge of the EASA Part 21/PERAM 21 regulations, which cover the certification of aircraft and related products, parts, and appliances, as well as the approval of design and production organizations1. Ability to ensure that all project activities comply with the relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
Proficient in the use of MS Office suite and PM tools (MS Project, JIRA, or other).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex scenarios.
Ability to design and implement process improvements and new methodologies.
